5 Marijuana Stocks Going Crazy (And This Could Be Just The Beginning)

Marijuana stocks could be absolutely huge in 2013, as efforts to legalize the drug in more states continue. Already, marijuana possession and recreational use has been made legal in two states (Colorado and Washington) since the beginning of November 2012, and numerous senators, organizations and voters in many other states are also strongly in favor of the legalization of marijuana. In this article I’ll highlight a few marijuana-related stocks that have already made big moves, and could be set for huge bull runs in future.

Cannabis Healed My Cancer By Michelle Aldrich

ma

Michelle Aldrich, 66, has been working for marijuana legalization —which she defines as “the right to grow it for free in your backyard”— for most of her life. She and her husband Michael live in a comfortable old apartment near the San Francisco Marina which they moved into 40 years ago. The following is adapted from a talk Michelle gave in July to the Women’s Visionary Congress.
I had smoked cannabis since 1967 but early in 2011 I kept saying I could not get high. I was smoking a lot. I now believe that THC was going to the tumor and lymph nodes, which is why the cancer did not spread more than it had.

Super Bowl XLVII contest winner denied entry due to 32-year-old pot arrest

US Customs denied Myles Wilkinson entry into the United States to retrieve his Super Bowl XLVII prize due to 32-year-old pot bust.

According to a CBC Canadian news report regarding the Super Bowl, one ought to think twice before laughing off previous lawless actions regarding pot possession and smoking – even in these times when the push by some states is to legalize marijuana. On Sunday, it was revealed that Myles Wilkinson, the winner of a trip to Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans was denied the benefits of winning a fantasy football contest a couple of days ago when United States Customs wouldn’t let him enter the country from Canada due to a thirty-two-year-old pot arrest.

Help Wanted: Washington Seeks Pot Pro

By Gene Johnson
Help Wanted: Washington Seeks Pot Pro

Wanted: A green thumb with extensive knowledge of the black, or at least gray, market. As Washington state tries to figure out how to regulate its newly legal marijuana, officials are hiring an adviser on all things weed: how it’s best grown, dried, tested, labeled, packaged and cooked into brownies.
Sporting a mix of flannel, ponytails and suits, dozens of those angling for the job turned out Wednesday for a forum in Tacoma, several of them from out of state. The Liquor Control Board, the agency charged with developing rules for the marijuana industry, reserved a convention center hall for a state bidding expert to take questions about the position and the hiring process.

An unlikely plea in support of medical marijuana

by Laurie Roberts, columnist – The Republic | azcentral.com
It starts the minute he wakes up and puts his feet on the floor. The nausea quickly builds from the base of his stomach to the back of his throat, and he tries to think mind over matter, but matter generally wins. And this is just the beginning of the day.
The really hard time, he would tell you, comes later in the afternoon, when he must force down the pills he needs to stay alive and hope they stay down. Food? The thought of it makes him gag, and this goes on day after week after year. His parents wonder whether he can survive it. So far, in well over a decade, Bennett Black has found only one thing that eases the nausea enough so that he can eat, so that he can live.
Marijuana.
