Zach Galifianakis Smokes a Joint on Bill Maher’s Show to Support Prop 19

Comedian Zach Galifianakis demonstrated his position on legalizing marijuana by lighting up a joint on Real Time With Bill Maher over the weekend. The Hangover star was discussing California Proposition 19, also known as “T he Regulate, Control and Tax Cannabis Act of 2010,” which would legalize marijuana in the state, and he quietly whipped out some weed of his own while another guest was talking. Of course, he offered to share with the rest of the panel, but nobody partook. (They did smell it, though, and confirm it was real).
As the debate continued, Galifianakis shouted, “Oh my god, look at those dragons!” When everyone turned to look at him, he said, “I think that’s what people think of it.” Whatever your opinion about cannibis may be, you have to admit that lighting up a joint on TV takes some serious guts. Of course, Zach Galifianakis is also the guy who posed in a bikini for Vanity Fair, so nobody would mistake him for being shy.
