Almost 18 years after California voters legalized medical marijuana, yet police terrorize thousands of patient-cultivators each growing season with warrantless, no-knock raids. Defense attorneys sayCalifornia officers are willfully ignoring established law, and it’s hard not to believe them when you see incidents like this.
Advocacy group Reform California posted pictures Oct. 24 of San Diego area officers raiding patients while wearing T-shirts that read: ‘FUCK THE GROWERS … MARIJUANA’S STILL ILLEGAL”.

Marijuana is the new big business in the US. Its turnover is expected to grow to three times that of the professional football league (NFL) by 2020. According to the study by Greenwave Advisors, a research and financial analysis institute, the cannabis industry could generate revenues of $35 billion within five years, compared to the $10 billion currently produced by the NFL.

There seems to be a seed revolution happening on supermarket shelves these days. Everything from breakfast cereals to granola bars to yogurts has chia and flax in them. And now, the latest super sexy seed is hemp.

So far, marijuana has been crucial to helping Ian Young kick his reliance on prescription painkillers. He no longer has to make frequent trips home to take a handful of pills, allowing him to start kayaking and generally become more active.
“In the past six months, I’ve taken one oxycodone. The rest of the time I’ve been taking cannabis,” Young said. “Even today, I can’t believe I’ve gotten here.”

CNN will follow the lives of marijuana franchise entrepreneurs as part of a new unscripted series High Profits, the network said Thursday.
The series, set to debut in 2015, profiles Brian Rogers and Caitlin McGuire, the owners of Breckenridge Cannabis Club (BCC) whose marijuana business has seen increased revenues since Colorado recently legalized the use and sale of recreational marijuana, said network officials.
