Palisade peaches, blueberries, cherries, plums, you name it, are not only delicious and bountiful but also very cheap. If you are a fellow Coloradan, now is the time to start taking advantage of nature’s gift to make pies, jellies, jams, compotes, syrups, and canned items. Even if you don’t live in Colorado, do not fret, as you will have local fruits that are in season and every bit plentiful!

Oklahoma – Checotah Man Credits Cannabis Oil For Improved Health
Craig Day, News On 6 – bio | email
Governor Mary Fallin said she does support a limited, medically supervised study of the use of cannabis oil, which comes from marijuana plants.
One Green Country man said using cannabis oil has dramatically improved chronic medical conditions he’s faced for years.
Jeff from Checotah said six months ago, there’s no way he could enjoy a walk at the park. COPD, a lung disease that blocks airflow and makes it difficult to breathe, wouldn’t allow it; but he can now enjoy his walks, and he credits the use of cannabis oil from marijuana plants.
“Doctors weren’t curing me,” he said.
For six months, he’s taken a drop of the oil each morning and night.

Cannabis Oil Cured Cancer, Says 54 Year Old Father
A 54 yr. old British father-of- three, claims cannabis oil helped cure him of cancer. In 2012, Trevor Smith was diagnosed with bladder cancer and was told by doctors that he would be dead within 24 months if surgery to remove nodes on his bladder, prostate, and lymph were not removed immediately. With a concern for the quality of life after having radical surgery such as the removal of organs and surrounding tissues, he came across some information on cannabis oil on the internet while looking for alternative therapies.
Smith claims that after 10 weeks of treatment, the cancer had not metastasized, despite warning from the doctors about delaying the surgery. The doctors now state the the condition has gone into remission, and Smith, who is a manger in the oil industry, has been free of cancer for at least a year now. He says that a debt is owed to the medicinal properties of cannabis oil, and patients should be better informed of alternative therapies that exist.

Hemp helps build a house in Tarpon Springs, likely first in Florida
Tony Marrero, Times Staff Writer
Bob Clayton leaned over the gleaming, industrial-grade oven, his crystal blue eyes focused as he slathered crab spread on golden-brown pieces of bread.
While Clayton prepared the crostini, his dozen or so guests sipped beer and sparkling wine in the kitchen and combined living-dining room of his Florida-style ranch home. Scott McKenzie’s San Francisco played softly on the Bose sound system. The Saturday afternoon gathering had the feel of any one of a thousand house parties likely happening in Florida at that same moment.
Clayton’s guests, though, felt like they were making a little bit of history as they mingled.
After more than two years of fits-and-starts construction, the 62-year-old retired mechanical engineer was hosting the first party in his house made of hemp.
“I’m excited they’re excited,” Clayton said. “There’s a real buzz in this crowd.”
